Watercourse Maintenance Work Summer 2024

 

 

The North Level District Internal Drainage Board is responsible for the drainage of 34,000 hectares of land, each year the Board maintains 613km of primary watercourses within the area to ensure the efficient conveyance of water.

As per previous years, the annual vegetation flail mowing and weed cutting will be between 01/08/2024 and 01/01/2025 on all IDB maintained drains. NOTICE OF INTENDED ENTRY ONTO LAND

LAND DRAINGE ACT 1991 (as amended) Sections 14,15, 64 and 71

Under the provisions of the Land Drainage Act 1991, where the Board normally carries out routine drainage works on your land, the Board gives you NOTICE OF INTENDED ENTRY onto land occupied by you for the purpose of undertaking routine annual maintenance works between August 2024 and January 2025.

The Internal Drainage Board authorises its agents, employees, and its contractors, to enter your land for the purpose of these works within the periods stated in this notice. An authorised officer of the Board may take with them such other persons and equipment necessary to carry out the functions of the Board.
